Jack is a washed up mathematician who is still trying to accomplish something here at MIT. He's all right with fluffing pillows, stroking his mole, and making obscene hand gestures alongside Kanye. You can find him in the infinite - usually looking lost and/or homeless. But don't be scared: he doesn't bite (hard).

Kapaya Katongo

Kapaya Katongo (2016)

Major: 6-3 (Computer Science and Engineering)

Hometown: Lusaka, Zambia

Kapaya Katongo is a member of the class of 2016 from Lusaka, Zambia majoring in Computer Science and Engineering. Kapaya is a simple creature; give him food and drink and he will be your friend for life. Sometimes, he spends too much time thinking about life (and food) but most of the time he is just your average guy, who like everyone else is trying to find his way in the world. It's ironic that he often prefers writing to talking because he says he doesn't trust himself with words. His favorite quote: "Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory or defeat." Theodore Roosevelt.

Along with that, I am interested in teaching science, helping people gain conceptual and intuitive understanding of the topics I am good at. For fun, I love biking, playing badminton and table tennis and also cooking ( proud to learn it at Student House :) ).
