Namaste! I'm a senior and have been living in this house for the past two years. My time at MIT wouldn't be the same without the student house. It not only provides us with an affordable housing but also gives us access to a vibrant community from all over the world. Thank you all friends for making my stay in this house a very memorable one.

Jayne Chang

Jayne Chang (2016)

Major: 1-C (Civil Engineering)

Hometown: Guangzhou, China

I'm a 16' in course 1, civil engineering; potentially 18 or 18C, who knows. I'm very into music and pseudo-philosophizing to find out how beautiful/horrible things can be. Piano, treadmill, kitchen, bed, bookstore, concert hall, and underground tunnel are in the set of Places Where You Can Find Me. The house has been the most secure place for me since I arrived at MIT, and the members have been the most respectful fellows ever. It is an unexpected wonderful journey. Other than the house members, I enjoy being around my laoxiang, i.e. friends from home in Club of Undergraduate Chinese Nationals and my sisters in Alpha Epsilon Phi.

Jack Feng

Jack Feng (2016)

Major: 18 (Mathematics), 14 (Economics)

Hometown: San Juan, Puerto Rico

Jack is a washed up mathematician who is still trying to accomplish something here at MIT. He's all right with fluffing pillows, stroking his mole, and making obscene hand gestures alongside Kanye. You can find him in the infinite - usually looking lost and/or homeless. But don't be scared: he doesn't bite (hard).

Kapaya Katongo

Kapaya Katongo (2016)

Major: 6-3 (Computer Science and Engineering)

Hometown: Lusaka, Zambia

Kapaya Katongo is a member of the class of 2016 from Lusaka, Zambia majoring in Computer Science and Engineering. Kapaya is a simple creature; give him food and drink and he will be your friend for life. Sometimes, he spends too much time thinking about life (and food) but most of the time he is just your average guy, who like everyone else is trying to find his way in the world. It's ironic that he often prefers writing to talking because he says he doesn't trust himself with words. His favorite quote: "Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory or defeat." Theodore Roosevelt.

Ishwar Kohale

My name is Angus and I'm a '16 from Hong Kong majoring in course 18C (Math with Computer Science)! In my spare time I like solving math problems, travelling and working out. In fact, if you walk by the Z center in the afternoon you can probably spot me cuz I swim every day after classes :D . I studied abroad in Spain this past semester (sophomore spring) through the MIT-Madrid program, taking humanities classes in Spanish and I absolutely loved it. As I come back to MIT my junior fall, I am going to drink from the firehose again and dive into theoretical math/CS classes! How exciting~!
